In this connection, there is a version that the Solstice of the Slavs was of two kinds – turned by the blades to the right, that is, following the movement of the sun (it is called the amulet), or unfolded by the blades to the left, against the movement of the sun (such solstice was called the arm). It is obvious that the first kind of solstice represents the movement of the sun from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, towards regeneration and renewal. The second species is characterized somewhat more negatively, since its motion is determined by the reverse course of the sun.
